Hi, My name is Jennifer Caspers. I am 28 years old and I got married on a budget to my husband Dave in july 2011 and this was indeed the most beautiful day of my life !

Dave and I were engaged for 2 years before we got married. We mainly decided to take this time so we could build up our wedding budget by saving money. It was a matter of days that we figured out that saving money for a wedding in general isn’t a big problem. Spending it the right way on the other hand is really a different story. All the vendors you will visited are going to abuse the fact that you are getting married and that you are overly enthusiastic for your wedding. They already start handling a different price for their products or venues the first second they figure out that it concerns a marriage. Vendors will always use the fact that you are getting married, and that it is supposed to be the best day of your life – No matter what it will cost!  Did you know that 79% of the couples who get a divorce in the first year they are married is because of financial issues caused by their wedding loans? It was my goal to think about budget wedding ideas to make the whole event affordable for us.

I didn’t want to be one of those people who paid way too much for everything – even though It was for my wedding. In the end my husband and I managed to save 60% of our wedding bill. Can you image how I would have felt after the wedding when I found out that I would have paid 60% too much? Emotionally used is the first thing that comes up in my head…

So lets say I can give you a view in my experiences, and that I can give you tools so you could recognize when products are overpriced and how you can get the same wedding you else would have had but then for half the price?
